I am sooo loving this new trend of industrial style pendant lighting. It really surprises me though because this is not my typical style. I think I just love what it represents – simplicity and functionality – two things I crave in my life right now! This Glass Jug Lantern from Shades of Light really caught my eye and was actually the inspiration for this post.

It's so simple and basic in styling but has a certain sense of character to it as well.

As they say, "what's old is new again" and that definitely applies to this Henry Pendant from Visual Comfort. I can almost remember seeing this exact light in my grandparents' basement but then it was strictly about function. It was just your basic light where today, this pendant is trendy and stylish.

I guess your sense of style does mirror what you want in life. These lights are so appealing to me for all the simplicity they represent. Something tells me a slower, more simplified life is out there but until we reach that place in our lives, I guess these pendants will have to tide me over J.
