I just love window seats. They are so cozy and inviting! Unfortunately there is really no good space in our home to have one but I'm working on two projects right now where I've recommended window seats and keeping my fingers crossed both clients will go for it!
The first project is a kitchen where space is very tight but the client needs to have an eat-in area as well. By incorporating a window seat into the design and moving this to the side of the room, it frees up some concerns around traffic flow and circulation. To center a table and chairs in the space would not work but taking advantage of a small bump out that already exists, a window seat is a natural solution.
